Must have 2024 Travel Essentials
It’s 2024 - so it’s time to upgrade your travel essentials. With the right gadgets and accessories, you can turn your travel experience from tedious to some what luxurious. Here are my favorite ten must-have travel essentials that promise to elevate your travel experience, making every trip as enjoyable as the destination itself. I will link the items below.
1. Airplane Foot Hammock
Long flights can be a pain, quite literally, for your legs and lower back. An airplane foot hammock takes the edge off by allowing you to elevate your feet, improving circulation and reducing swelling. It’s a game-changer for comfort, making those economy seats feel a tad more first-class especially if you are traveling boujie on a budget!
I was embarrassed to use this at first, because it isn’t too common but perhaps, because not a lot of people know about it! How to use it: You simply open the airplane tray and insert the straps in between the metal holder and close the tray back up, bam!
2. Airplane Phone Holder
An airplane phone holder attaches to the back of the tray table, allowing for hands-free viewing. It may look silly, but say less! I fly Southwest Airline in the USA quite often and this is great for those short 1.5 hour flight. It’s a simple gadget handsfree that significantly improves your in-flight entertainment experience.
3. Neck Pillow
If it’s more than a 5 hour flight, I am bringing a neck pillow! This is a true travel essential. Modern neck pillows come in memory foam, with ergonomic designs to support your neck just right. This neck pillow is super soft and it doesn’t take too much space when placed back in the pouch. Say goodbye to uncomfortable airplane naps.
4. Packing Cubes
Packing cubes revolutionize the way you pack, offering a neat, organized suitcase and maximizing space. I find it so interesting that not many people are using these to pack and organize their clothes yet. Say bye to those days when you have to publicly rummage through your luggage and all of your personal belongings are hanging out in an unorganized matter.
5. Travel Pill Organizer
This compact and discreet pill organizer, ensures you have your vitamins or medications sorted by day and time, keeping you healthy and ready for adventure! Having this forces me to take my daily multi-vitamins and Advil as needed instead of dumping them all in a ziplock.
6. Portable Mini Refillable Perfume Bottle
Stay fresh on the go without the risk of breaking your huge perfume bottle. A portable mini refillable perfume bottle allows you to to convert and bring your signature scent in a travel-friendly size. This is one of my favorites for sure! I have larger sized perfumes and this is perfect travel size for an everyday use.
7. Portable Travel Bottle
Portable silicone bottles are leak-proof and TSA-approved, meaning you can bring your must-have liquids without the bulk or fear of spills. Silicone bottles are my favorite as they make it easier to squeeze the products out of the bottle and it’s also easier to clean.
8. Electronic Cable Organizer Bag
Traveling with a tangle of cables is inevitable, especially in an electronic world we live in. A USB cable bag keeps your chargers, USB cables, and other small electronics organized and easily accessible so that they are all in one place!
9. Portable Universal Power Adapter
A portable universal power adapter with a surge protector is an absolute must-have for international travelers. It ensures that no matter where you are, you can charge your devices that is compatible to the country’s electrical outlet.
10. Sleep Eye Mask
A high-quality sleep eye mask can block out unwanted light, helping you to sleep better whether on a plane, in a car, or in a hotel room. I find this extremely helpful especially during those red-eye flights or long overnight international flights.
